Allow yourself to let go of the notion that you must pile on 35 items. It’s rather entertaining to see, but you can also smear a cream eye makeup stick with your finger “she asserts. “Start with materials that melt fast and work your way up to the building.”

Tip #2: Avoid applying powder shadow first.

Parsons adds, “I never begin with powder eyeshadow.” “I always begin with a pencil or cream shadow. It creates a foundation, which you may then mix with a brush. When you apply too much powder to your eyes, you begin to deplete the skin’s vitality.” Puma x Maybelline Matte and Metallic Eye Duo Stick are her current go-to.

Tip #3: Begin with a “transition shade.”

“I always begin with a transitional shade, such as a taupe-like or warm nude-like brown. Enter and sculpt the eye. If you apply it to the crease and a little portion of the outer corner, you have already enhanced the beauty of the eye. You just set the tone.” Parsons asserts. “Everything else is for entertainment purposes.”

Tip #4: Create transparent layers

Once a transition shade is established, Parsons suggests gradually building on it with varied textures and hues. Simply begin small. “Take your shimmer and apply a little amount of metallic to the middle of the lid or the inner corner. Consider gold if you have a warm undertone. If you’re being reasonable, perhaps something more chilly “she asserts. “You may incorporate the black shadow. You can add bright blue. If you ever go too far, it may be completely erased. It’s only cosmetics!”

Tip #5 Avoid utilizing concealer as a primer.

If you want to avoid your eyeshadow creasing during the day, Parsons recommends avoiding using concealer as a foundation on the eyes. “Forget the primer and the concealer. Simply begin with a waterproof shadow stick, smooth it out with a brush to create a sheer layer, and then fill in the crease with a little amount of powder. That way, there will be no creasing “Parsons clarifies.

Tip #6: Ensure that you have the proper tools.

Even a professional like Parsons acknowledges that accidents may happen, which is why she has “millions of Q-Tips” on hand. Additionally, her preferred brushes are Japanese. “Hakuhodo. They are the greatest of the best. Some of them are rather pricey, while others are quite affordable “she asserts. “In December, my helper travels to Japan for holiday and only gives me packages.”

Hope that those tips can help you apply eyeshadow like a pro.

How To Apply Eyeshadow Like A Pro Attempting to apply eyeshadow like a pro is similar to attempting to master yoga: No matter how proficient you get, there is always a more advanced technique to learn.
