Begin by reducing the remainder of your makeup look, keeping it “soft and delicate,” adds Cheng, who recommends avoiding a heavy contour and focusing on a radiant, even-toned complexion. Layer on a matte concealer or eye primer before applying pigment to the lids to make the color pop. \u201cDon’t bother with the shadow too much because you want the color to shine out,\u201d she says. \u201cInstead of swiping and mixing, press the color on.\u201d To frame your eyes, both Cheng and Parsons agree that a coat or two of mascara offers maximum impact. \u201cUse a super-lengthening mascara, such as Maybelline Sky High, to enhance definition without overwhelming a bright tone like yellow,\u201d Parsons suggests. \u201cIt frames the color pop.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, don’t overthink things. Simply embrace the delight it may provide. \u201cWith masks being the standard, the only portion you get to see is your eyes, so have some colorful sunglasses in your purse or car and change it up in a pinch,\u201d adds Cheng. \u201cI think it’s just as much fun to update and alter your cosmetic regimen as it is to update and change your wardrobe.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
