From that point on, viewers from all around the world have fully recognized the potential of Korean production films. This brings a breath of fresh air to the Western audience, who have had little exposure to Korean television.<\/p>\n

\u201cSquid Game\u201d, with a budget of $21.4 million, has accomplished greatly during its show time. It is the most-viewed program in 94 countries and has accumulated 1.65 billion viewing hours, cementing its place as one of the most popular shows of late 2021.<\/p>\n

One of the rising stars in the \u201cSquid Game\u201d cast, who has acquired a large fanbase through the film, is none other than actress Hoyeon Jung. She played as a character named Kang Sae-byeok, also known as “Player 067.” Through her brilliant acting performance, Hoyeon Jung has managed to deliver the personality of “Player 067.” The character is a straightforward, resilient, and resourceful person, someone who in the eyes of the viewers is very cool-headed and worth rooting for. This led to the sudden burst of popularity for actress Hoyeon Jung.<\/p>\n

In one of the recent interviews with the actress, she explained that she has been a fashion model since 2013 and has walked the runway for many brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, … She would never have imagined that she would get a chance to audition for the role of “Player 067”. She also shared that her transfer to the new acting agency was very rushed and she hadn\u2019t received any formal training prior to that. Still, she self-taught herself how to resonate with the character and was accepted into the cast.<\/p>\n

“Squid Game” has received numerous awards for outstanding performances from both the actors and actresses. Hoyeon Jung was proud to have received this prized award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. <\/strong>On February 28th<\/sup>, at the SAG Award Ceremony, she was in tears about how honored she was to be standing on the stage and nominated. Through the interpreter, she shared, “Acting has been my dream for a long time. I have always admired the people that work hard to give the audience an enjoyable experience.” During her speech, the fellow Squid Game cast also cheered her on to give the speech. The cast was very supportive of each other, which exlpain why the series was such a big success.<\/p>\n

HoYeon Jung now has more opportunities to appear in the magazines of many more well-known fashion brands as a result of Squid Game. Most recently, she was on the front page of Vouge Japan.<\/p>\n
