Each day, balloon launches start around 7:00 a.m. Other days feature launches from the park and special shape rodeos, when a spectacular array of special shape balloons ascend from the grassy field, in addition to mass ascension mornings. On the eve of Halloween each year, the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City hosts the Village Halloween Parade. The parade is the largest Halloween parade in the world and the only significant nighttime parade in the United States.
