In the ethical tradition of when you eat a fruit, think of the man who planted the tree of Vietnamese, fulfilling our filial duty and gratitude to ancestors, grandparents, fathers and mothers is one of the most important thanks in every human life.<\/p>\n

The Filial piety festival has become a humanistic holiday, brightening the ethics of repaying the gratitude of the nation.<\/p>\n

Vu Lan Festival comes from the legend of the Bodhisattva Muc Kieu Lien who is filial for saving his mother from a hungry ghost figure.<\/p>\n

Vu Lan becomes an annual holiday to commemorate the merit of parents and ancestors in general, reminds each person to appreciate what they have, to remind their children to always remember the nurturing merit of their parents and do meaningful acts to show their affection and gratitude.<\/p>\n

Since Buddhism was introduced into Vietnam, Vu Lan festival has become a tradition of the spirit of filial piety and gratitude, in accordance with the spirit of worshiping spiritual ancestors of the Vietnamese people.<\/p>\n

The Vu Lan festival calls for social awareness of the spirit of repaying the Buddha’s gratitude, encouraging people to be grateful, paying back four sources of grace and virtue, namely gratitude and gratitude to parents who were born; teachers who teach and impart knowledge to people; to pay tribute to the seniors who built the country, the Heroes of Martyrs who sacrificed their independence and spiritual sovereignty for the whole country and, finally, the human kind.<\/p>\n
