According to the Daily Mail, Mrs. Obama told young couples that “if that caused the marriage to fail, Barack and I would have broken up and reunited many times … but we had a long lasting marriage”.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Obama also compared choosing a spouse with choosing a basketball team and said “I marry the version of LeBron”.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you see marriage as a football team, you want your teammates to be winners. You want LeBron and you know it\u2026 There were times when I wanted to push Barack out the window. And you know, because then the feeling was very strong. However, that doesn’t mean you want to leave. Such periods can last. It could last for years\u201d, Ms. Obama said.<\/p>\n

On October 3, the couple will celebrate the 28th anniversary of their marriage. “27 years ago, that guy promised me a life full of adventure and it came true.”<\/p>\n
