From March 7-16, Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts will hold the exhibition #BuscandoM\u00e9xico (#T\u00ecmki\u1ebfmMexico) by famous Mexican artist Diego Rodarte.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

On the morning of March 7, the Mexican Embassy in Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts jointly introduced the exhibition #BuscandoM\u00e9xico <\/a>(#T\u00ecmki\u1ebfmMexico)<\/i> by the famous Mexican artist Diego Rodarte: 32 small-scale oil paintings portraying symbolic or imaginary places in each of the 32 states or regions of Mexico; 3 large-scale banners and some objects.<\/span><\/p>\n

Appearing at the event today included Mr. Nguyen Nam Nhan, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, Assoc. Prof. Dr., Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts, Mr. Tran. Thanh Binh, director of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum<\/a> of Fine Arts, along with the Mexican Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Alejandro Negrin and the main artist of this exhibition, Mr. Diego Rodarte.<\/span><\/p>\n

The renowned Mexican critic Santiago Espinosa de los Monteros has written: “the heart of the #Buscando M\u00e9xico exhibition is to verify the images of the idyllic landscapes that are offered to us in the most important places in Mexico: beaches, mountains, archaeological remains, squares of the big cities… #Buscando M\u00e9xico is an inside look at the external dimension of the country, its geography and what inhabits the superficial limits of the skin of the Mexican territory”.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Vietnamese photographer Viet Van says that “Mexico is a large country with a beautiful and rich culture… and the feeling of Mexican culture is deepened with the exhibition #Buscando M\u00e9xico… The paintings of the artist Diego Rodarte are like emotional and colorful dialogues with the viewer, which require a calm and open attitude to appreciate art and receive new ideas”.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ambassador of Mexico in Vietnam, Alejandro Negr\u00edn, explains: “The Vietnamese people is interested in the Mexico of ancient civilizations; of great biodiversity and natural beauty; of at least 35 impressive historical and natural sites declared by UNESCO as world heritage of humanity; of a unique gastronomy based on original products from Mexico…”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Diego Rodarte is an artist with more than 20 years of experience. He has presented 14 individual exhibitions in Mexico, United States, France and Poland and has participated in 14 collective exhibitions<\/a>. His work has been exhibited at international fairs such as the Zona Maco Art Week (Mexico City, 2021) and the prestigious Art Miami International Fair (2021).<\/span><\/p>\n
