New York State Health Commissioner Howard Zucker said the 70-year-old man collapsed after being vaccinated with Covid-19 for about 25 minutes on February 8. Security and medical staff were immediately present to assist, but the old man later died at a local hospital.<\/p>\n

According to the Daily Mail, it is still unclear whether his death was related to a vaccine. An investigation related to the incident is underway.<\/p>\n

Mr. Zucker said at first signs that the man did not have any allergic reaction to the vaccine during follow-up 15 minutes after the injection.<\/p>\n

What vaccines the man mentioned above is currently unknown.<\/p>\n

Mr. Zucker said that he and other health experts agreed that Covid-19 vaccine is safe and urges all eligible New Yorkers to be vaccinated.<\/p>\n

To date, nearly one million people in New York have been vaccinated.<\/p>\n

Across the United States, the number of people vaccinated each day now surpasses the number of people infected, with an average of 1.3 million injections per day nationwide. A total of nearly 42 million doses of the vaccine have been injected to date.<\/p>\n

About 31,579,100 people, equivalent to 9.6% of the US population, received 1 dose of vaccine and about 9,147,000 Americans, accounting for 2.78% of the population, received 2 doses.<\/p>\n

Adverse reactions caused by vaccines are considered extremely rare, with a few often associated with an allergic reaction.
