Director Ly Hai made his first <\/span>Face Off<\/span><\/i><\/a> film (original Vietnamese: <\/span>L\u1eadt M\u1eb7t)<\/span><\/i> in 2015. It\u2019s 2024 and he\u2019s now on his 7<\/span>th<\/span> installment of the franchise. All helmed by Ly, each installment is a standalone, and each has exceeded the prior installment\u2019s box office numbers, helping <\/span>Face Off<\/span><\/i> to become the longest and most successful film franchise in Vietnam.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In his latest film, Ly breaks from the traditional protagonist\/antagonist mold and throws out the villain. The director\u2019s gamble is paying off. <\/span>Face Off 7: One Wish<\/span><\/i>, written and directed by Ly Hai and produced by Minh Ha of Ly Hai production, is the most commercially successful film in the franchise, and is now the second highest grossing film of all time in Vietnam and still playing in its domestic theaters, proving \u201cwholesome\u201d works.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
