In an interview with media queen Oprah Winfrey on CBS on March 7, former American actress Meghan Markle has denied that she caused her sister-in-law to cry over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress at her 2018 wedding.<\/p>\n

Meghan asserted that it was Kate Middleton who made her cry and this was “the beginning of an attack that ruined the true reputation”, and that Buckingham Palace did nothing to correct it.<\/p>\n

Oprah asked Meghan, “Is there something about Kate crying?”<\/em> And Meghan replied: “No, no. The opposite is true. And I am not saying this to disparage anyone, because it has been a really hard week before the wedding. She (Kate) is also sad about that, but she knew the error and she apologized. She brought me a bouquet of flowers with an apology card. She did what I would do if I knew I hurt someone. That’s right, just take responsibility for what you did wrong.”<\/em><\/p>\n

While Kate Middleton has not yet given any opinion or feedback to her sister-in-law’s sharing, the attack on her has appeared on Twitter, with many claiming that Kate displayed racism in her dealings with Meghan.<\/p>\n

These comments seem to be sent from Meghan’s fans, expressing anger when Kate Middleton has hurt Meghan to cry.<\/p>\n

One member called Kate a “white bitch”, describing her as “bland”, and some criticizing the Duchess of Cambridge for “lying” about her pre-wedding controversy or criticizing her “bad ugly “. Even an account in the US was established in 2012 with more than 2,000 followers saying Kate “should count the remaining days” at the royal family.<\/p>\n

Many Twitter users expressed frustration at the attack, in which member Kay spoke out: “Why blame Kate for everything Meghan went through? It’s not Kate’s fault. It’s disgusting.”<\/em><\/p>\n

A few accounts were said to be fake in order to deepen the conflict in the British royal family.<\/p>\n

“There is a specialized policy unit overseeing these documents and the Duchess of Cambridge will never have to see any of them. Some accounts contain fake photos and only a few followers. While the accounts appear to be real, wait and see what Twitter moves to, because they clearly show racism”<\/em>, according to Philip Grindell, CEO and also founder of Defuse Global, a network risk and threat management consulting firm.<\/p>\n

Twitter has a “hateful policy” that includes anti-racism, and has always maintained a “zero tolerance” stance on violent threats.<\/p>\n

Kate’s friends believe she was “betrayed” by the comments and shares of the American sister-in-law with Queen Oprah in the interview. However, according to journalist Richard Kay of the Daily Mail, the Duchess of Cambridge is a resilient person, not easily discouraged and depressed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
