Céline Dion Shows Off a Chic Faux Bob in New York

Another day, another high-impact, zero-commitment hair move. Late last week, Elle Fanning pinned her peroxide into a mimicry of a 1920s bob in a reminder that, when it comes to abbreviated lengths, test-drives are not only possible but altogether appealing. Likewise, Céline Dion delivered an impressive above-neck fake-out today in New York, her long blonde hair pulled into a nape-of-the-neck ponytail with just enough volume at to offer the illusion of a dramatic chop.

Combed back at the crown, with the front portion molded to halt near her ears, Dion’s tie-back teamed with a set of lash-skimming fringe to echo a soft, rounded coif, afforded a dose of drama by way of a set of onyx cat-eye shades. But before onlookers had time to ogle the aesthetic overhaul, Dion turned to reveal a low ponytail that fell full between her shoulder blades, its base wound in a section of strawberry blonde. It seems that late winter is officially the season of the feigned mane makeover.
