As Damon Ho first entered the Nails business, he would never imagine himself choosing such a path, he even had prejudice about a man doing jobs relating to nails. But when he started to work in this field, he felt greatly aspired and put great effort to improve Vietnam’s Nail Business.

Talking about Damon Ho, besides the admiration for his achievements, people idolized Damon Ho as a man who has overcome the barriers of emotions, arrogance of a very successful person in the past to start a new journey.

Starting off as a successful person in the field of media and event organization for the last 10 years, his name was well-known for doing many popular shows in Vietnam. However, it was at this stage of his career that he decided to leave his homeland to settle in the United States.

Putting his step into a new strange place without clear orientation for himself, Damon Ho spent 2 years struggling to adjust to his new life. He missed his previous job, recalls his great career in Vietnam, and longed to return. But every decision has a cause.

In US, Damon Ho often felt extremely pressured and depressed when his job required him to put in a tremendous effort, but the income was not worth a day hanging out with his friends in Vietnam. Every day after work, Damon Ho usually spent his free time at his aunt’s nail salon. But even then, he never had in mind that he would do this job since he still has a bit of prejudice about men working for a nail salon!

But when his family was hit with the news that they were having their first child. The financial pressures of providing for his children and family caused him to reconsider. Damon had no choice but to look for a new job to supplement his income because of his current company’s low wage. Being a nail technician at that time was ideal for his available time.

Harsh life forces a parent like Damon Ho to choose to fulfill his responsibilities as a breadwinner. He pushed himself to learn how to be a nail technician from that day forward. Damon Ho began by assisting at his aunt’s nail salon, then went to school, earned his degree, and work for a few other nail salons.

In fact, becoming a nail technician allows Damon Ho sustain his income, and requires less labor than his prior job. He began to accept this profession, and he soon embraced it while brushing off the prejudice in his mind that a successful man like him would be a nail technician.

Damon Ho officially opened his own nail salon in 2017, marking the first milestone in his nail career. After a long-lasting journey with many obstacles and challenges, Damon recognized the value of his effort. He realized how important the nail business was to him and the nail technician’s community abroad.

“Nail business overseas is branded as a career that allows numerous generations of nail technicians make a living,” Damon Ho said.

Considering this fact, he felt frustrated since the people working in the nail business overseas in general, and in the US in particular, are treated with contempt.

Despite the fact that nail technicians overseas have a high level of talent, technique, and creativity when it comes to manicure, the Nail business has not received the respect it deserves.

Damon Ho devoted a lot of passion into his first nail salon with the goal to change that terrible reality, to honor the nail business in general and nail technicians overseas in particular.

Not only wants to offer the best services to his customers, he also hopes that his nail salon can create a suitable working environment to provide job opportunities for fresh graduates and elderly nail technicians who need to make a living in US.

Damon Ho also participated in activities such as training, sharing and encouraging who choose Nail as a career, with the goal of bringing Vietnam’s Nail business up to line with global standards.

Working in the Nail business was not his pure enthusiasm, but when he chose to make a commitment in this field, he wishes to devote to this career. He wants to do his utmost so that people would have a positive opinion of the phrase “Nail Viet,” which is a vocation that not only helps him but also many generations of nail technicians have a stable life. Furthermore, “Nail Viet” is not inferior to “International Nail.”

Damon Ho also stressed the importance of nail technicians striving to inspire their own customers. Allow clients to understand the significance of the nail. A well-groomed look necessitates not only great hair and cosmetics that complements the clothes and accessories, but the aesthetics are also represented in the Nail set they own.

Throughout his career in the Nail business, Damon Ho has also won prestigious awards in the Nail business.
