Demi Lovato Says She Was Sexually Assaulted As A Teen, Again Before Overdose
Demi Lovato bravely confronted the past in the documentary.

Demi said she was sexually assaulted by a drug dealer and left her alone near death after giving the singer a dangerous cocktail containing heroin and other drugs early in the morning on 24/7/2018.

“When they found me, I was naked, blue. I was literally left for dead after he took advantage of me,” she says in the docuseries. “When I woke up in the hospital, they asked if we had had consensual sex. There was one flash that I had of him on top of me. I saw that flash and I said yes. It wasn’t until a month after the overdose that I realized, ‘You weren’t in any state of mind to make a consensual decision.’”

Demi admitted it was a painful mistake. The singer used the same medicine that shocked her almost to death:“I thought how did I choose the same drug that pushed me into the hospital? I was in pain with my decision. It didn’t get me back anything, it just made me feel worse.”

Demi Lovato has gone through a long detoxification journey. She is awake now, but the former Disney star admits she is still drinking and not quite getting rid of marijuana.

Also in the documentary, Demi Lovato first revealed she was raped by a man when she was still a teenager. “I lost my virginity in a rape,” she said, adding that she and the person who allegedly assaulted her had been “hooking up” but that she had clearly expressed she wasn’t “ready” to have sex for the first time.

However, that bad memory hurt Demi mentally, leading to her cutting her arms, fasting and vomiting blood.

Documentary film Dancing with the Devil about the life and ups and downs of Demi Lovato was shown at the SWSX film festival on March 16 and will air on YouTube on March 23.
