It is known that this costume commemorates Jayne Mansfield, the famous Hollywood actress in the past, one of the hottest actresses on the American screen. At the Met Gala, Billie Eilish also ditched her usual personality makeup with her signature 2-color hair, wearing a blonde wig, bold eyes with seductive red lips. Many people were surprised by the appearance of the female singer.

However, many people were more impressed by the deal Billie Eilish signed with the designers if she wore the outfit at the Met Gala.

Billie Eilish shared: “I agree to wear their clothes only if the designers and brands commit not to use fur in their products.”

In her personal Instagram post, the singer shared a photo at the Met Gala and wrote: “Thank you Oscar de la Renta for designing this beautiful dress and bringing my ideas and views to life. What an honor. I’m excited to wear this dress knowing that in the future, Oscar de la Renta will be completely fur-free.”

The female singer also thanked the designers, stylists as well as crew for listening and understanding her thoughts. On this occasion, she also called on designers and fashion houses to remove fur from the production process.

“This is a change to make a better impact, not only for the animals but also for the planet and our environment.”

Speaking to The New York Times, fashion brand CEO Alex Boden said it was a conversation with Eilish that made the brand commit to no fur.

Eilish Bilish is a vegetarian and does not support the brutal killing of animals for human benefit. She has repeatedly expressed harsh views to people wearing fur and the application of fur in the fashion industry.

Eilish, in reaction to an Instagram video purportedly showing employees at Fair Oaks Farm in Indiana kicking and shoving newborn calves into the floor, earlier that year had also called out the meat and dairy sectors for “torturing animals.”

Eilish said, “I keep my mouth shut most of the time about this because I believe everyone should do eat and say whatever they want…
And I don’t feel the need to shove what I believe in, in anyone’s face”

And I have no desire to force my beliefs on anybody.
