The Namaste Vietnam Festival 2024, celebrating the 52nd anniversary of establishing Vietnam-India diplomatic relations, is an opportunity to create and maintain connections and exchanges between the people of Vietnam and India.
On the evening of August 25, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations and the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with a number of relevant units to open the Namaste Vietnam Festival, celebrating the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-India diplomatic relations (1972-2024).
In his opening speech, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the 3rd Namaste Vietnam Festival was organized to bring the people of India and the people of Vietnam closer together. Vietnam and India share the same motivation and aspiration for growth and development. The two countries have great interactions with opportunities for cooperation and development of businesses, and young people as well as educational exchanges.
According to Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, the Namaste Vietnam Festival started from the idea of ​​connecting cultures and has now expanded to the fields of business, tourism, railways, and cinema. It is time for the people of India and Vietnam to explore friendship and partnership to take advantage of the opportunities both countries offer in areas of mutual interest, bringing development benefits to both countries.
The Namaste Vietnam Festival took place in Ho Chi Minh City; Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province and Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province from August 25 to August 31.
About 20 famous Indian artists, film producers, entertainment companies, 30 travel companies, 34 universities and about 30 Indian businesses came to Vietnam to participate in the Festival.
