Sephora Acquires UK Prestige Beauty E-Tailer Feelunique

The acquisition of Feelunique, a UK-based cosmetics shop, is a significant step toward expanding the LVMH-owned beauty retailer’s footprint in Europe. It is the first stage in Sephora’s entry into the UK market, which Sephora President and CEO Martin Brok described as “one of the top ten largest premium beauty marketplaces in the world, with a very high degree of digital engagement.” The deal is scheduled to conclude in the second half of 2021.

The development follows Sephora’s announcement in June of a long-term collaboration with European e-commerce platform Zalando, under which Sephora will start in Germany in the fourth quarter of 2021 and extend to additional European countries in 2022.
