Singapore stopped using the seasonal flu vaccine after South Korea recorded numerous deaths

According to the official announcement of the Ministry of Health Singapore, the country will stop using two seasonal flu vaccines researched and distributed by pharmaceutical company SK bioscience of Korea and Sanofi of France. The suspension of vaccination will take effect today (October 26) and continue until Korea has an official conclusion on the cause of the recent deaths.

As of this morning (October 26), South Korea has recorded a total of 48 deaths suspected of being related to the seasonal flu vaccine. However, South Korea recently announced that it continues to implement a free seasonal flu vaccination program for all people because the link between deaths and vaccinations has not been determined.
