Singer Lex Nguyen: Vietnamese words of the song is too nice to translate in to foreign language

Lex completely convinced the audiences, especially the Vietnamese community overseas when he performed diverse singing voices at the New Beginnings Concert in Orange County.

On the 6th of April, the New Beginnings Concert officially happened in Orange County, attracting more than 1000 audiences across the US. As one of the most expected singers in this music event, Lex had performed a magnificent debut overseas and completely convinced the audience thanks to his diverse appeal on the stage.

With his powerful and exceptional voice, Lex made the auditorium come to bursting when he was the first performer for the New Beginnings Concert with vibrant melodies of “Blurred Lines” and “Perm”. And then, this singer continued to surprise the listeners in his latter performance with touchable and deep melodies. It is noticeable that he sang “Loi Cuoi Cho Em”  by Nguyen Vu BAng in both English and Vietnamese.

He said “Although I have lived in the US for a long time, I always have a special affection for Viet music, especially the ancient ones. Therefore, when choosing singing as my career, I always prioritize Vietnamese music, Vietnamese listeners, and especially the Vietnamese community overseas in my development plan. translating a Vietnamese song into English is not easy at all because the words are so nice that we can not find the equivalence to put in. It is very difficult! but to communicate the essence of the words of Vietnamese songs, I try my best to translate and this makes me happy.”

Besides performing solely on the stage, Lex also combined with Rachele, a singer from the Voice US 2023. Both had reached wonderful performances in the song “ All I ask” – a famous ballad song by Adele.

For his coming plan, Lex said that he and his team are in the progress of completing new musical products. and at the same time, he will continue to sing Viet music in English. Moreover, he tentatively writes Vietnamese versions of some foreign songs, bringing more musical experiences to the audiences.
