Recently, at the Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers, Universe Saigon Joint Stock Company (Unicorp) and Universe Media Company Limited (Unimedia) – the unit of management, training, organization, and production of Miss Universe Vietnam – officially announced the launch and enrollment of the Miss Universe Vietnam 2021 contest.
Previously, the Miss Universe Vietnam 2021 contest was allowed to be held by Decision No. 1232/ People’s Committee-VX of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, pursuant to Decree No. 144/2020/ND-CP of the Government on regulations on art and performance activities dated December 14, 2020.
In Miss Universe Vietnam, each beauty queen portrays a distinct personality model: H’Hen Niê is a strong woman with a goal to accompany highland children to school; Hoang Thuy has a story of overcoming gender prejudice and constantly striving to improve herself before stepping out into the world. Khanh Van, a young woman with a lovely personality who is determined to fight for the rights of girls who have been sexually abused…
The Miss Universe Vietnam 2021 contest chose “VINA WOMEN – AWAKEN YOUR WOMAN INSIDE” as the main theme of this year’s contest based on that inspiration. We believe that whoever you are, deep within you is a superhero fighting to raise your voice and inspire optimistic attitude to the community. Each beauty queen will establish her own goal and use her ability to powerfully influence the community.
The next Miss Universe will receive a new crown with the concept “VINA WOMEN – Vietnamese courage”, designed by IJC gemstone jewellery and used in rotation from this year’s contest.
Miss Universe Vietnam 2021 is planned to take place from May 20, 2021 to December 17, 2021. Specifically: The preliminary round is tentatively scheduled in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi from September 10th, 2021 to September 24th, 2021; the reality TV challenge round is scheduled in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces from September 24th, 2021 to December 17th, 2021. The final round is scheduled in HCMC and Long Hai from November 1st, 2021 to December 17th, 2021. The semi-final night, which will take place on December 13th, 2021, and the final night, which will take place on December 17th, 2021, will be broadcast live on national television and other local stations. In addition, as part of the contest, there will be a night of national costume performance. The final night on December 17, 2021, at the SECC Exhibition & Convention Center, will be broadcast live on national television channel VTV3 at prime time.
This year, the Organizing Committee is accepting candidates between the ages of 18 and 27. Especially, Miss Universe Vietnam will choose Top 16 for the first time. The 16th contestant will be voted by the audience through the Bvote application.
