Elegant footwear is making a comeback.

Stylight has observed a resurgence in the popularity of more refined, polished, and beautiful styles, with the kitten heel boot being the most notable example. Whether it’s worn to the knee or as an ankle boot, the modest elegance associated with it appeals to consumers who want to dress up their look once again. The platform has witnessed a 280 percent spike in clicks on this particular design, with the slouchy suede version, in particular, becoming increasingly popular in search results. Jimmy Choo has a suede and patent version, Isabel Marant has a timeless black version, and Khaite has designs that are western-inspired and over-the-knee in style.

Boots imbued with disco vibes, on the other hand, appear to be a big success this season. They are available in a variety of shiny and metallic colors, such as gold and silver, and they bring some much-needed joy and pleasant sentiments into the environment after a period of frequent lockdowns. Despite the fact that they may be worn at night, we like to mix and match them with neutrals during the day to make a striking statement. Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, and Etro are just a few of the designers that have embraced the trend this season. According to Stylight, customers’ interest in silver and gold boots has grown by 252 percent when compared to the same period the previous year.

Styles that are playful and adventurous are on display.

Consumers are showing an increasing preference for brightly colored boots of various types, as they express a desire to return to more fun fashion pieces. Despite the fact that we’ve seen a slew of vivid hues and colorful colors in the Resort and Spring/Summer 2022 collections, the trend is kicking off in a big way this season. When it comes to color this autumn, footwear is the place to look, with maximalist color palettes found in the lines of Burberry, Coach 1941, and Ermanno Scervino, among others. Stylight has noticed a 27 percent rise in the number of clicks for this particular category of footwear.

Second-skin boots feature a daring style and a fearless attitude that buyers are growing to appreciate more and more. Shorts, tiny dresses, and skirts can all be worn with these stretchy, skin-tight boots to give the illusion of leggings. They are also a wonderful alternative for simply transitioning them to the cooler days. They elongate the leg and are a pleasant alternative to wear on a daily basis – as evidenced by the 50 percent rise in clicks on this style at Stylight from one year to the next.

Shoes that are considered to be “ugly” are here to stay.

The last point to mention is that against popular belief, “ugly” shoes are nonetheless quite popular among both collections and buyers’ searches this season. The platform chunky boots have had a 394 percent rise in clicks on Stylight, and searches for knee-high lace-up boots have seen a 328 percent increase in hits. The resurgence of current pop-punk fashion styles, as well as a growing interest in the year 2000, are all strongly associated with the movement. With a contemporary, dramatic make-over, this footwear design looks to be an edgy and daring alternative to dad sneakers and combat boots that are now trending. Dsquared2 has a variety of platform designs, as does Givenchy, which has a more pared-back version, and Moschino, which has a colorful version.

Finally, Balenciaga’s ‘Puddle’ rubber boots have revived the chic factor of the ankle- and knee-high rain boots once more. Indeed, the number of clicks for this style has grown by 128 percent when compared to the previous year. Celine contributed to the trend with a collection of rubber rain boots for Spring/Summer 2021, and it is now seen everywhere from Moncler to Roger Vivier – and the more edgy designs are quietly flanked by more upscale variants, as well.
