Celebrity host Larry King – who has been dubbed the “king of television” – was hospitalized at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, earlier this year with symptoms of Covid-19.
A statement posted on Mr. King’s social accounts both confirmed the news of his death on January 23.

With the fashion style that has become a trademark – shoulder straps – with a Brooklyn accent, over six decades, Mr. King has become one of the most popular media figures in America. At its peak, the show “Larry King Live” that he hosted for 25 years on CNN attracted 1.5 million viewers every night.
According to CNN, Mr. Larry King has type 2 diabetes and has had many serious health problems.
In 1987, he suffered frequent heart attacks and underwent five artificial heart surgeries. By 2017, he revealed his lung cancer diagnosis, but was successfully treated. In 2019, he will continue to have treatment for angina.
After having many health problems, he decided to set up the Larry King Foundation for Heart Disease. This is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help people who cannot pay hospital bills because they do not have insurance.
