Following the success of the Childhood Memory show in New York in early 2020, this December, the duo VUNGOC&SON will officially bring this impressive collection to the Vietnamese public. The unique thing about this show is that Childhood Memory will be uniquely recalled at an unprecedented stage of Vietnamese fashion, Saigon Central Post Office.
VUNGOC&SON is always a fashion label that has great shows throughout the year. Choosing their own fashion path, the color witch duo already has two successful shows in 2022 – Dawn at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Art in January 2022 and the Peaceful Sky in June 2022, Hoi An.
Following the above successful shows, Childhood Memory will be the 3rd individual fashion show in 2022 of VUNGOC&SON. Wool material and crochet technique are the two main elements conveyed through the designs of the upcoming show.
THE 3RD INDIVIDUAL FASHION SHOW IN 2022
With Childhood Memory, VUNGOC&SON continues to bring the guests to the nostalgic beauty imbued with culture and history at a very special place. It is Saigon Central Post Office with ancient beauty more than 100 years old. VUNGOC&SON’s Autumn-Winter 2022 show Childhood Memory is inspired by the memories of beautiful childhood memories that will take place on the first day of December 2022 at 6 pm.
Designer Vu Ngoc Tu said: “VUNGOC&SON always chooses culture as the fulcrum for our artistic creation. We used to bring the graves to many scenic places which are rich in culture and art. This time with Childhood Memory, once again, we look forward to introducing as well as promoting cultural sites through fashion projects.”
Childhood memories are beautiful memories that nourish our souls on life’s journeys. From the emotions of going back in time to childhood, the designer duo performed a fashion show at the Saigon Central Post Office.
The building has unique architecture and retains traces of the city’s past. This is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy beautiful design, send postcards, write letters or simply rediscover a memory of a bygone era, where beautiful memories are kept, connected, and transmitted over the years. Following the success of the CHILDHOOD MEMORY show in New York in 2020, this is the time for VUNGOC&SON to continue introducing the collection in Vietnam. With that spirit and inspiration, surely the new collection with the 100 latest designs will leave many emotions in the hearts of fashion lovers.
To prepare for the grand show at this special place, the two designers and crew spent a lot of time surveying and researching the places. The concept of this show is also something that fans are interested in, besides the brilliant dress designs – which is the DNA of VUNGOC&SON.
Although they have not revealed much about the concept for the new show, the two designers and their team promise to bring a time travel back to the most beautiful and satisfying childhood memories.
Inspiration For The 2022 Winter Fall Collection
This collection is just like its name “Childhood Memory”, which is the opening of a beautiful story, conveying the message of a peaceful memory, a soul associated with the poetic childhood sky.
The designs presented at the autumn-winter show will continue to be the colorful breathtaking creations of VUNGOC&SON. “In addition to the flying materials such as organza, silk, velvet, and brocade that have been associated with the name of the Color Witch duo, in this collection we continue to bring the woolen designs that have been used in the past that successfully introduced in New York and the Dawn collection at the Fine Arts Museum. Attachment techniques will also be introduced through these creations with the hope that everyone will accept and love the collection “- shared by designer Dinh Truong Tung.

The first revealed key motif is a brightly colored woolen pattern with 6 main colors such as blue, red, yellow, orange, purple, and pink. Violet tones are also used as the dress code of the show. It is expected that 200 VIP guests and celebrities from all over the country and abroad will come to Ho Chi Minh to participate in this show.
Designer Dinh Truong Tung shared: “The reason for choosing this special place is because it reminds everyone of a beautiful memory, with childhood memories growing over the years. This is also the main inspiration for the collection that VUNGOC&SON will unveil at this Fall-Winter 2022 show.”
