The infection of the variant of SARS-CoV-2

In Asia, Japan will tighten its border controls from January 9. Accordingly, Japan requires all entering people to submit negative test results for the SARS-CoV-2 virus within 72 hours before departure. In addition, incoming visitors will be tested upon arrival in Japan.

These measures will be applied to people who enter Japan from January 13 and take effect until the emergency order is lifted, scheduled for February 7.

In Europe, Denmark also decided to limit entry from all countries from 9 January and advised people not to go abroad to prevent the spread of the disease.

Denmark only allows landing for flights where all passengers test negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus performed within 24 hours prior to boarding. Passengers entering Denmark by land and sea are also required to present a certificate of test result negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus and with good reason. Denmark has 86 cases of new variant of SARS-CoV-2 virus discovered in the UK.

Australia is also in a state of high alert after discovering cases of variant virus infections in the UK and South Africa entering the country. Australia requires all foreign tourists who want to enter the country to test negative for COVID-19 prior to flight. The country will also cut foreign entries by half by February 15.
