“Speaking of which, it is paradoxical to talk about an irony that while most of us prefer to be at ease, I discover that being busy makes my value worth. Doing what I want on my own and enjoying the sensation of completion make me happy”, Miss Nguyen Ngoc Quynh shared about her life after temporarily stepping away from the spotlight.
Nguyen Ngoc Quynh is a singer and beauty representative who was crowned Miss Photo Vietnam – International 2016 and Miss Vietnamese World 2017.
Ngoc Quynh has garnered the affection of many music fans by leaving an impression of a beautiful voice via many lyrical songs. She used to work in tea-rooms in Vietnam for two years before moving to the United States to proceed her education. Her music career was somewhat interrupted, but after earning her AA College and Medical Assistant degrees, she returned to the tea-room stage where she now lives to pursue her passion.
With a typical Asian face, a desired body shape index, and smart behavior, Nguyen Ngoc Quynh earned widespread support when she was crowned the highest position in the beauty competition.
She explained that she initially came to the beauty contest only with the intention of exchanging, learning, and gaining experience, but it was her best efforts that helped her create a significant impression on the board of directors.
From the moment she got the prestigious crown, Ngoc Quynh clearly defined the responsibilities and role of a beauty representative. After her coronation, she not only participates in charity activities, but she also actively participates in many community development projects, giving love, gifts, food, and bedding to the homeless in the United States and making donations for charity funds in Vietnam, helping the lonely elderly, and calling on the community to join hands to spread the spirit of solidarity and help those in unfortunate circumstances. “I desire to use my musical talent to bring many meaningful messages to life, giving tremendous spiritual values to society, particularly the overseas Vietnamese community”, the lovely singer-Miss revealed.
“On the first day I arrived in the United States, I just had one word: ‘bewildered,’ but instead of letting that surprise overwhelm me, I saw it as a new and exciting adventure for myself to explore. And it is this attitude that allows me to discover a lot of joy in myself and integrate more easily into my new life.”
She also confided that her life has never been boring because she got music as her companion. The melody and lyrics appear to be with her all the time, dissipating moments of weakness or loneliness and alienation in a foreign country.
But, at the pinnacle of her career, the center of all attention, Ngoc Quynh gradually dimmed, temporarily putting aside her love for art due to her hectic work schedule and desire to care for her family. Thinking that at each period, in order to perform her best in a role, she must put in all of her efforts for that, and she temporarily withdraws from entertainment activities because now is the time for her to focus on her family.
“It was a tough decision for me to leave the stage temporarily. I truly want to share my passion for music with the audience that has always loved and supported me. But as a woman of the family, I have to fulfill the role of a mother – the first teacher of my children. I want all my children to have the best starting point to become decent people in the future”, Miss Nguyen Ngoc Quynh shared.
Busy with taking care of her children and doing everything herself to nurture her family, people assumed that just that much was difficult, but she was also financially independent, choosing the right job to fulfill the role of a woman in the family while still being economically independent.
When questioned if her current life is difficult or pressured, she smiled and said, “The hard work or the pressure is also due to your own views, if you look at the path you’re on or the job you’re doing is the joy of life, it will naturally be a lot simpler.”
Thinking positively, organizing everything in her schedule wisely, putting her whole heart into what she does is the secret for Miss Ngoc Quynh to always consider life as enjoyment.
Miss Ngoc Quynh, a modern woman who is also a beauty representative, no matter how busy it gets, she does not forget to take the time to take care of herself and take the initiative in keeping her shape, Ngoc Quynh develops for herself a scientific eating, exercise, and resting plan. She prioritizes foods rich in fiber and vitamins, such as vegetables and fruits, drinks enough of water, gets adequate sleep, and, most importantly, keeps her mind relaxed.
In response to Illume’s question, “Will you ever return to the stage?”. “My passion for music has never died, and, in the future, I will definitely bring that love to people who love me”, she said with a smile.
