Music Categories Of People’s Choice Awards 2024: Who Won The Price “Artist Of The Year”?

The 49th People’s Choice Awards event was held on February 18, 2024, in the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Simu Liu hosted the show, which aired live on NBC and E! and streamed live on Peacock. 

Many fans were drawn to the awards for music categories. Taylor Swift won four prizes this year: Female Artist of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year, Concert Tour of the Year, and Social Network Celebrity.

Olivia Rodrigo is also quite competitive. Even though she did not win any Grammys in 2024, her album GUTS and the song Vampire helped the Gen Z lady win two major People’s Choice Awards. Olivia won Song of the Year for Vampire and Album of the Year for GUTS. In addition, Beyoncé was voted R&B Artist of the Year, Nicki Minaj for Hip-hop Artist of the Year, and Ice Spice for New Artist of the Year.

Despite his temporary absence owing to military service, Jung Kook continues to set new marks. Jung Kook made history at this year’s People’s Choice Awards by becoming the first Asian singer to win Male Singer of the Year. The golden youngest member of the global music group outperformed famous celebrities with comparable nominees, like The Weeknd, Drake, Bad Bunny, and others, to win the prestigious honor.

Stray Kids also had a successful year, making an impact on the international market. After winning at the 2023 BBMAs, JYP representatives became the first fourth-generation male group to win the People’s Choice Awards‘ Group of the Year honor. This accomplishment provides more inspiration for Stray Kids as they prepare to dominate the music industry next year.
