On the opening day of Thai Silk International Fashion Week 2022, representatives from Vietnam had the opportunity to meet with the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand.
On December 6, the Thai Silk International Fashion Week 2022 event was officially opened at Royal Paragon Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The event will last from December 6-11, 2022, bringing together a large number of famous designers and stars from many different countries.
Participating in this event, the Vietnamese delegation included the Vietnamese Ambassador in Thailand Phan Chi Thanh and his wife; Ms. Phan Hieu – General Director of See The World Travel, representative of the event organizer; Mr. Anthony Vo – General Director of the program “Ao dai Meet Thai Silk”; Designer Lan Phuong; Vietnam Tourism King 2022 Phung Phuoc Thinh; beauty queens and the Board of Directors from Golden Lotus Company….
Notably, the reigning Miss Intercontinental Bao Ngoc took on the role of the first face in the opening performance of the Thai Silk International Fashion Week 2022. This queen wore a graceful long dress with an eye-catching design. She strode skillfully on the catwalk as the representative of the Vietnamese delegation at this event.
In particular, within the framework of Thai Silk International Fashion Week 2022, a Vietnamese – Thai cultural and fashion exchange program named “Ao Dai meet Thai Silk” will also take place on December 7. The program is jointly organized by the Government of Thailand, the Embassy of Vietnam in Thailand, and the Thai Silk & Culture Promotion Association.
At the “Ao Dai meet Thai Silk” program, Vietnamese designers will present collections of ao dai made from Thai silk and Vietnamese silk. Vietnamese designers who will perform in the show include Ngo Nhat Huy, Tran Thien Khanh, Le Thi Lan Huong, Duy Hoang, and Ruby Tran.
It is known that both Miss Grand International 2021 Thuy Tien and Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 Thien An will have the opportunity to perform in the vedette position at “Ao Dai meet Thai Silk”. Accordingly, Thien An reunites with Mister Tourism Vietnam 2022, Phung Phuoc Thinh as the first face, and vedette for the “Nothing Venture & Thai silk” collection by two designers Duy Hoang and Lai Y Phuong.
