The program “Ao Dai meet Thai Silk”, within the framework of Thai Silk International Fashion Week 2022, was successfully held with many special performances from Vietnamese designers and stars.
On the evening of December 7, a Vietnamese – Thai cultural and fashion exchange program co-organized by the Thai Government, the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, and the Thai Silk & Culture Promotion Association, named “Ao Dai meet Thai Silk”, within the framework of the Thai Silk International Fashion Week 2022 that officially took place at Royal Paragon Hall, Bangkok, Thailand.
Representing Vietnam in the program were Mr. Phan Chi Thanh and Ms. Phan Thi Hien Anh, the Vietnamese Ambassador in Thailand; Ms. Phan Hieu, CEO See The World Travel – program organizer; Mr. Anthony Vo – the program’s general director; Ms. Pham Kim Dung, CEO of Golden Lotus; and many talented designers and popular beauty queens.
On the Thai side were Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific; Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman of the Thailand – Vietnam Friendship Association; Ms. Tipanan Sirichana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister’s Office and businesses, units coordinated to implement the program.
In addition, the program also welcomed the presence of Ambassadors, their wives, and delegations from other countries.

The fashion show “Ao Dai meet Thai Silk” consists of 3 main parts: Vietnamese Ao Dai – Luxurious and mysterious beauty; Vietnamese youth and creative energy; Ao Dai – Vietnamese creative quintessence. These latest collections of ao dai are designed on Thai silk and Vietnamese silk and presented by the most famous Miss and runner-up today such as Miss Ha Kieu Anh, Miss Huong Giang, Miss Thuy Tien, Miss Bao Ngoc, Miss Luong Thuy Linh, Miss Mai Phuong, Miss Thien An, runner-up Phuong Nhi, runner-up Che Nguyen Quynh Chau, runner-up Kieu Loan…
4 designers Tran Thien Khanh, Le Thi Lan Huong, Ruby Tran and Ngo Nhat Huy respectively introduced the latest collections of ao dai designed on Thai silk and Vietnamese silk. In addition to traditional Vietnamese ao dai models, designers also offer a variety of stylized ao dai models with extremely new styles. There are also models of Ao Dai designed with colors and motifs typical of Thai culture.
Notably, in the introduction of the men’s fashion collection by designer Duy Hoang, Phan Anh Duc, the son of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand, also participated in the show and received many compliments for his handsome and stylish appearance.
In addition, the show also had the appearance of Quang Hung MasterD, the male singer who possessed a large fan base throughout Asia, especially in Thailand. A large number of Thai fans were present very early and professionally cheered throughout the male singer’s performances.
After the program “Ao Dai meet Thai Silk”, the event Thai Silk International Fashion Week 2022 will continue until the end of December 11. Renowned designers and famous stars from different countries will continue to deliver outstanding performances before closing one of the most anticipated fashion events in the Asia region this year.
