Accordingly, the Korean Government will pay the third emergency assistance package, early promotion of state and private investment projects with a total scale of 110,000 billion won (equivalent to 100.1 billion USD).
In addition, in the first quarter of this year, the Government will invest in an employment budget of 30,500 billion won (about 27.7 billion USD), in order to create 1.04 million jobs for the underprivileged. This year, the Government will place the focus of the Korean version of the New Economic Policy on the area of the locally balanced New Economic Policy.
On the other hand, the President apologized to the people about housing, pledged to continue to oppose policies, early develop a plan to provide diverse housing for people.
This year, the Government will continue to firmly promote the Korean peninsula peace roadmap. According to the President, although there are still many issues that can be implemented based on inter-Korean cooperation, but hopefully the door of peace between Korea and North Korea will gradually open up in the course of coping with the Covid-19 pandemic.
In particular, Korea will make efforts to the end to make a big change in Korea-North Korea relations, on the occasion of the new government launch of the new US President Joe Biden.
The President stressed that 2020 is the year that Korea is re-recognized as a stable pre-crisis country. This year, Seoul will continue to leapfrog to become a country at the forefront of the post-Covid-19 era.
