South Korea requires students not to go to crowded places

The Korean Ministry of Education yesterday urged residents of the country to temporarily stop participating in mass activities ahead of next week’s university exams. The move is to prevent this important event from being influenced by the recent surge in COVID-19 cases.

Korean officials specifically ask young people to strictly abide by the regulations of social distancing, given that about 19% of COVID-19 cases in the country are in their 20s and many of them are not have symptoms.

In addition, all family members with children taking college exams are advised to comply with the social exclusion rule within the next week. Students are asked not to go to crowded places.

According to statistics, about 70% of students infected with COVID-19 this November were infected from other family members.
