Although less than every year, the scene in the temple is still full of nuances of the first day of the year, these are simple beautiful scenes with the roof of the roadside shop beside the bright yellow apricot branches, pink peach branches blooming in the spring sun.

Visitors enjoy the scenes meticulously arranged by the Vietnam American Photography Association for all talented photographers to show off. Especially this year there are two more old Vespa cars brought from Saigon by Mr. Vu Nguyen, reminiscent of the Tet holiday scene in Saigon in the 1960s, when the “sons of Saigon” drove beautiful people to travel to Spring. .
Photographer Thien Son, president of the Vietnam American Photography Association said that this year, the association does not plan to take photos at the beginning of the year, but a group of brothers have asked to recreate beautiful scenes in Tet culture. Unfortunately, the association’s two senior and advisor photographers Professor Le Van Khoa and photographer Thai Dac Nha are unable to attend because of their old age!

Doctor Thai Minh Trung, a member of the association said: “In California, there are advantages when the Vietnamese are very crowded, in order to maintain the Vietnamese cultural features, especially the traditional Tet holiday scene at the pagodas, so photography can also have beautiful pictures of the Spring day!”
With a traditional black robe, fortune teller Michael Tran sat and watched fortune tellers for visitors to the pagoda, said that he had been a fortune teller for the association for 2 years, just modeling for brothers to take pictures.

“From morning to noon, sit and watch fortune telling, the money to see hexagrams is $ 105, together, we donate to the temple. It is also a custom every year when the New Year photo festival is here, everyone is happy! I just wish everyone good health, the disease will soon be eliminated! ”, Michael excitedly said.

Jane NY has just graduated from Cal State Fullerton in business, a member of the Vietnam American Photography Association, holding her hand out to the “fortune teller” by watching a year-first hex, said she was happy to be a model, to reenact again a long tradition in Vietnamese culture.
“Although I do not know if fortune telling is correct, but I am still nervous when I show my hand to him to see the fortune-telling hexagram in the beginning of the year. Anyway, the fortune teller is the one who shows me how to go in the right direction, or will help me solve my problems! ”, Said Jane.

Spring sunshine is bright and visitors visit the pagoda at the beginning of the year with many wishes, especially photographers are happy to “harvest” many beautiful photos on Tet holiday.
