The Met Gala 2024, popularly known as “fashion’s biggest night out,” is an annual fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City that takes place on the first Monday of May. The event attracts celebrities, young creatives, and industry leaders. The Met Gala 2024 was held on Monday, May 6, and celebrated the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”
Tyla
Tyla collaborated with legendary brand Balmain to make the Met Gala 2024 – Garden of Time idea a reality. The sand substance was inspired by the “sands of time”.
The strapless dress is designed to hug the female singer’s figure, and the broad skirt is composed of organza cloth. With three sand tones and microcrystals, Tyla’s dress glows with every stride she takes. Tyla’s unusual hourglass-shaped hand ornament adds an amazing finishing touch to the highly anticipated yearly fashion extravaganza.
Zendaya
Zendaya has to be the one that most fits the topic. The actress made two costume changes in total.
She is compared to a duchess in the opening set, which opens the performance. She wore the intricately detailed Maison Margiela Artisanal design by John Galliano. It is well known that the dress from Dior’s 1999 Spring/Summer collection served as the model for this design.
