During Black History Month, United, Chase, And Visa Are All Offering Miles Promotions

To commemorate Black History Month, United Airlines, Chase, and Visa are encouraging and rewarding United Credit Cardmembers who donate to non-profit organizations that promote educational opportunities for Black kids and human and civil rights legislation.

Between February 1 and March 15, 2021, United Explorer and United Club Visa Cardmembers will earn five miles for every dollar donated to the following charities (up to $1,000):

  • The Thurgood Marshall College Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1987 as the nation’s biggest organization dedicated solely to the Black College Community. TMCF is made up of 47 publicly sponsored historically black colleges and universities with a combined enrollment of approximately 300,000 students.
  • The Leadership Conference Education Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing public support for legislation and policies that advance and preserve civil and human rights.
  • The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund is a nationally recognized legal organization dedicated to advancing racial justice via litigation, advocacy, and public education.
  • United Negro College Fund Is a non-profit organization that assists underrepresented students in pursuing higher education.

“Black History Month is not just a time for reflection and celebration, but also for action,” said Jessica Kimbrough, United’s chief diversity, equality, and inclusion officer.

“By collaborating closely with our partners at Chase and Visa, United Airlines is delighted to provide cardmembers an unprecedented chance to assist organizations dedicated to civil rights development and then reward them for their efforts.”
