Mr. Trump is now far behind on the polls after many scandals

The race to enter the White House in 2020 sees many disadvantages for Mr. Trump.
From negative comments on the US military to the controversy that received a lot of criticism and the culmination of the controversy surrounding Covid-19, the incumbent president repeatedly lost his advantage to the opponent, accoding to Washington Post.

A survey conducted by the Washington Post and ABC News released on October 11 found that the US-wide support rate for Mr. Biden was 54%, 12 percentage points ahead of President Trump.

Previously, a poll in September reflected a similar gap with a 10-point lead in the Democratic nomination. Survey results in the battlefield states also showed that voters tended to vote for Mr. Biden instead of the incumbent president. “These are not big changes, once that, things will become a lot more difficult,” commented Chris Borick of Muhlenberg University.

In 2016, many voters decided to vote for Mr. Trump at the end of the election, helping the politician win. However, polls show that the number of neutral voters this year has decreased significantly compared to four years ago. In addition, those who voted for Mr. Trump also turned to the Democratic candidate.

Ms. Mierzwa from Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, voted for third candidate Gary Johnson in 2016 because “could not bear both Trump and Hillary (Clinton)“. But this year, she said she would support Mr. Biden. “This time, betting on Mr. Trump is so risky that I don’t think I will waste the vote on a third party,” Ms. Mierzwa said.

It was getting worse and worse. From selecting judges for the Supreme Court to racist comments and pandemic handling, and there are many other cases that make voters lose confidence in the incumbent president”, Ms. Mierzwa explained.
