Sweden admits a false prediction about the second Covid-19 wave

Previously, the agency hoped that not taking official preventive measures would help build community immunity, helping to prevent an increase in the incidence of the disease. In reality, however, that is not the case as hospital admissions in Sweden are now growing faster than in any other European country. According to statistics, in the past few days, Sweden has had 8 times more cases of Covid-19 per capita than Finland and 3 and a half times that of Norway.

Sweden has no official quarantine, and is the only European country that does not require people to wear masks outside of hospitals. However, the Public Health Agency recommends maintaining social distance, washing hands, working from home and avoiding public places.
