President Joe Biden has two pet dogs, Champ (13 years old) and Major (3 years old). Both belong to the German Shepherd Dog breed (also known as the Shepherd Dog).

The two dogs had been brought back to Delaware for further training in getting used to life at the White House, after Major bitten a security guard earlier this March.
“Champ and Major are here at the White House,” according to Reuters White House spokesman Jen Psaki at a press conference on March 24.
According to Ms. Psaki, both Champ and Major were with the Biden family at Camp David – a traditional US presidential resort – near Thurmont (Maryland) over the weekend and returned to the White House with the presidential family on March 21.
