The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on October 10 appeared on “Teenager Therapy”, a radio program for listeners who are under 20 years old, on World Mental Health Day. In the conversation with the show hosts, the former American actor shared his feelings when he was once the object of being scouted by the press.
“I was told that in 2019, I was the most lashed out in the world,” Meghan said. “Back then, I was on maternity leave, but people were still able to produce and make up lots of information about me. That feeling was almost impossible to live on.”
The 39-year-old Duchess added that false rumors can affect a person’s mental and emotional health.
“We all know what it will be like if our emotions are hurt, isolated or something like that,” Meghan said.
On the other hand, Prince Harry admits he and his wife find it challenging and difficult to maintain an optimistic attitude as they constantly become the focus of attention and criticism.
“There are very good days, and also bad days, but I think prioritizing self-care is extremely important. Vulnerability is not a weakness, especially in today’s world, it’s a strong point again, “said Harry.
Also on the show, Meghan repeated an interview with ITV News last year in which the former actor shocked the audience by saying “not many people asked me if I was okay”.
