Russian President Vladimir Putin said on television that after the vaccination he felt mild muscle pain, but his body temperature remained stable. He also felt a bit uncomfortable in the hand that was injected.
He did not reveal which of the three Russian Covid-19 vaccines he had received and said that the three vaccines are equally effective.
Russia started its vaccination campaign last December. There are more than 4.3 million people out of 144 million people in Russia have received two doses of the vaccine.
President Putin expressed his hope that Russia would achieve public immunity and lift restrictions caused by the Covid-19 epidemic by the end of this summer.
