On October 25, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov became the latest political leader to test positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

On his personal Facebook account, Prime Minister Borisov confirmed that, after two tests, he had a positive result for Covid-19. He said he had mild symptoms and would quarantine himself at home. Before that, 1 day, Polish President Andrzej Duda also infected Covid-19.
Europe is currently coping with the second wave of Covid-19 infections, with the number of new infections per day in many countries rising sharply. Today, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez declared a national emergency to cut off the second wave of Covid-19 infections. This emergency order took effect from the evening of October 25.
